Marand Resort & Spa: a Summer Haven

With temperatures rising this April, newly-opened Marand Resort and Spa beckons vacationers to shake off the summer heat in its refreshing pools. Located along Mc Arthur Highway, Baccuit Sur, Bauang, La Union, the resort formally opened on April 8, 2011 in the presence of representatives from the Provincial Information and Tourism Office, Department of Tourism – Region I and the Municipality of Bauang, among others.

This inviting oasis features two pools, two looping slides, 20 cabanas, shower rooms and a playground amidst pleasing landscapes. At an entrance fee of P 150 for adults and P 100 for children, guests may already use all the facilities available. According to Mr. Felipe G. Aromin, resort manager, other additions to watch out for this year would be a spa (including La Union’s first fish spa), function hall, hanging bridge and wall climbing facilities.

Also within the resort property are backpacker type accommodations (charging P 500/person/night), a snack bar and Villa Marand townhouses which are expected to be open for selling by 2012. Owned by Bungalow Properties based in San Fernando City, La Union, this facility is the newest addition to La Union’s list of attractions for travelers.
